What is Frame?
Frame is a new mental wellness platform that makes therapy more approachable, accessible and customizable by connecting people with therapists on their own terms and timeline. On the platform, users can participate anonymously in our therapist-led digital workshops, or match one-on-one for video or in person sessions.
How much does it cost for me to use Frame?
Frame offers a free 3-month trial for early adopters. After your trial period, Frame charges therapists a $49.99/monthly fee that includes new client referrals, scheduling tool, video session services, and HIPAA compliant payment processing with a special ‘early adopter’ low transaction fee of 2.25% per successful charge.
Is there a transaction fee for credit cards that are processed through Frame?
Yes, Stripe charges a transaction fee for credit card processing which we offer at a 2.25% rate per successful charge for early adopters.
How do I get paid?
Frame’s payment processing through Stripe is designed to allow you to link your bank account for direct deposits. In order to receive matches through Frame, all client payments must be made through our platform. Direct deposits are then sent right away and arrive in your account as soon as the next day. You receive the full fee amount that you charge minus the Stripe transaction fee of 2.25%..
Does Frame only offer telehealth services, or can I match with clients for in-person as well?
Frame is set up to offer both telehealth and in-person therapy for all of our users. All of the therapists on our platform are provided with HIPAA compliant video tools so that you can offer telehealth therapy sessions for your clients. It is completely up to your discretion if you decide to use them with your clients or not. We fully support meeting in person at your office as well.
How do telehealth (video) therapy sessions work?
Receipts are automatically sent through Stripe, our integrated HIPAA compliant payment platform that is an industry standard
How do I get matched with clients?
Our proprietary matching algorithm connects clients to the therapists, who best meet their needs based on the clients’ answers to a set of specific questions. Frame provides client users with our top therapist recommendations and encourages clients to reach out to the therapists to schedule an intro call. You will receive outreach from the pre-screened clients through the platform and can determine whether it feels like a good fit for your practice.
Do I have to accept a client referral/match?
No, you are not required to accept a new client referral. You are the clinical expert and we trust that you will determine which clients are clinically appropriate for your practice.
What is included in the calendar tool?
Frame’s calendar tool allows you and your clients to conveniently schedule/reschedule sessions. Frame will also provide appointment reminders to your clients so that you can save time!
Do I have control over my calendar? Or does Frame book sessions on my behalf?
When scheduling with Frame, therapists are given full control over their calendars. All clients request appointments / reschedules and we’ll never book without your approval.
Do I have to sync my calendar?
Frame requires that you sync a calendar to our platform. We are compatible with Google, iCloud, Office 365, Outlook, and Exchange. Syncing your calendar will block out pre-existing appointments and future events in your calendar to help us further eliminate any scheduling friction for you. Don’t worry, you will be able to approve or deny every appointment before it is scheduled through our platform.
- Completely Private: Your calendar information will remain private, we just use this to block available and unavailable times
- Continuously Synced: We understand that every week is different. That’s why we auto-sync your calendar and block off any new events or appointments that are booked.
- Seamlessly Scheduled: Frame will book new clients only during times that you have indicated as free in your schedule. You set the rules and we follow them.
What are digital workshops?
Frame’s digital workshop offering includes free live workshops and pre-recorded workshops in our library. We have two core types of workshops: Frame Discussions, which feature a therapist in conversation with a participant, and Frame Insights, which are led by therapists covering various mental health and wellness topics. As a therapist, you can view our library of recorded workshops and tune into live workshops. During live workshops, we encourage viewers to submit questions for the hosting therapist to answer in real time.
Can I sign up to host a workshop?

Can I deactivate my Frame account at any time?
Yes, you can deactivate your Frame account and freeze your subscription at any time by contacting [email protected].
How do I create a profile?
You can create your profile by registering at https://portal-therapist.tryframe.com/register. You will be asked to input your clinical license details, office location, contact information, and some information about your specialties and your therapy practice.
