Dear Therapist: I’ve tried telling my toddler “no” over and over again. I go to great lengths to explain the reason behind my instructions. And as frustrating as his bad behavior is, I don’t like the idea of hitting his hand or yelling to finally get his attention. How do I get my child to listen to me? How can I discipline him without hitting or yelling?
